Sanchin and Hangetsu (Seishan) Kata have a lot of similarities. Both are fundamental for their styles. Sanchin is the soul of Okinawan Goju Ryu Karate in respect of training methods and application. Hangetsu is the only kata in Shotokan style with intensive breathing and isometric muscle training. Both Katas teach us a lot of fundamental lessons shown in this educational video.
